Introduction
Shanghai Bluestar POM Co., Ltd., a wholly state-owned enterprise under China National BlueStar (Group) Co., Ltd. of China National Chemical Corporation, traces its origins to China Alcohol Manufacturing Corporation established in 1933, with an 80-year history in the chemical industry. In 1954, it was renamed Shanghai Solvent Factory through public-private合营, and in 1969, it built a 100-ton/year POM pilot plant, later establishing China's first 2,500-ton/year POM facility, boasting over 50 years of POM R&D experience. In 2008, Shanghai Bluestar POM Co., Ltd. completed a 60,000-ton/year POM plant, filling the gap in domestic large-scale production. Its product brand "Bluestar Steel" offers a variety of POM base resins and modified products, along with customized solutions and application technical services for customers. The company aims to become one of the world's POM production bases with an annual capacity of 200,000 tons in the future. It plans to establish a national-level key laboratory for POM modification and lead the POM industry in China.
